Free Range Pigs Defacing the Countryside

Defacing the countryside;- On the unnamed road between the A4 and the A361 near the North Wilts Golf Club there is a pig farmer who has utterly defaced some of the nicest countryside in north Wiltshire by dumping tons of his farm rubbish in his field close to the road. In my view, this is an absolute disgrace and surely the authorities have the power to require him to treat the countryside with respect. One can understand the pigs digging up the earth and churning up the soil, that's what pigs do, but the farmer should not follow their example. There are dozens of old pig pens and piles of broken wooden crates all in sight of the road.

Of course they are tidier all locked away in windowless sheds but is that what we want?

Should Wiltshire mean Wiltshire?

Baxter’s Wiltshire Ham and Sweetcorn Chowder on Honestlabelling.com
The ‘Witshire ham’ ingredient is in-fact ‘Ham, Wiltshire cured’, many consumers are confused when place names are used in describing a product. Some consumer could even think that this ham is from Wiltshire, which it is not.
