Commons debate adds pressure to expand mobile broadband in rural areas - Telegraph: "Cumbria MP Rory Stewart will today open a full debate in the House of Commons today that aims to expand mobile broadband coverage to an additional 2 million than is currently proposed.
The motion, which has already received cross-party support, “recognises that rural businesses and rural communities across the UK are isolated and undermined by slow broadband and the lack of mobile voice and mobile broadband coverage [and] urges Ofcom to increase the coverage obligation attached to the 800MHz spectrum license to 98%”"
